At Alchemy we offer three options when it comes to patinas.  All lead planters and fountains if left to nature will eventually develop their own patina, we simply offer three different starting points for you to choose from.

        Natural     -   Let nature do its thing.
A natural patina will develop anywhere from six months to a year later depending upon exposure to the elements and the lead alloy used during casting.  Lead alloys containing tin and antimony take longer to patina than pure lead but offer superior strength and resistance to bending.

Black patina   -   Giving nature a little help. This patina develops a beautiful look that is close to natures.  The piece will still go through stages as the natural lead patina develops.

Black wax patina - Your Choice             
A deeper patina than the others this process can be reapplied by the owner of the piece or nature can take its course and a natural lead patina will develop over time.
